How my digital garden works

How my digital garden works

My digital garden is organized by hierarchy and topic tags. This may change as I continue to tend to this archive but currently these are the best ways for you to browse this site.

Hierarchy

Seeds

Seeds are rough ideas that I've just taken note of, waiting to be developed into something more.

Sprouts

Sprouts are budding concepts. They take a seed and expand on the idea so that I can formulate my own thoughts and opinions as well.

Trees

Trees are polished, fully-formed essays that can standalone and act as an evergreen piece of content. They can be a deep dive of a specific seed or sprout, or combine multiple sprouts into one.

Anthologies

Anthologies are a larger body of text that could combine multiple trees, sprouts, or seeds. They become an archive of my overall knowledge. I will write anthologies when I feel that I have learned enough about a specific topic. Currently I don't have any.

Topic tags

Topic tags allow you to browse seeds, sprouts, and trees under a specific theme. These are typically overarching themes and categories in my learning and really show where my interests are gathered.

Bidirectional linking

While Ghost does not natively support bidirectional linking, I will be trying my best to manually create these links on this site. Sorry in advance if I miss some because as this digital library grows, it'll become more and more of a tedious task.
